Alex Blackmore

 

Alex Blackmore is a Cumbrian artist and workshop leader.

 In recent years Alex's practice has included a sculptural commission for a show at the Lit & Phill in Newcastle, outdoor carnival artworks; his masks, puppets & fire sculptures have been used at Kendal calling, Burslem Picnic, Penrith drovers, Ulverston Lantern festival, Dalton Carnival, the Tour Of Creat Britain cycling event and several seasonal events in South Cumbria including constructing the town's 'Obby oss effigy for Artspace.

 

Alex's work with Artspace can be found here on the SJB3 SOFT DRIVE and GREEN ROOM pages. His mixed media paintings have been exhibited at Lancaster City museum as well as various venues in Cumbria and Lancashire.

As well as research and making for the Still Waters project, Alex is currently leading our Arts and Mind project with MIND in Furness.
